About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple project teams of designers and partners through all stages of industrial design and development
  • Oversee design architecture, language, validation, and specifications for a portfolio of complex products
  • Review and evaluate designs to ensure compliance with guidelines and provide feedback to improve user experience
  • Manage implementation schedules and coordinate timelines with internal project managers and external partners
  • Provide domain-specific expertise and leadership to cross-organizational projects and programs
  • Drive innovation by integrating new technologies and design languages into organizational activities
  • Develop continual improvement roadmaps and oversee their deployment across multiple functions
  • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced staff members

Requirements

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related discipline
  • 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in the development of physical hardware products and systems
  • Proficiency in 3D Modeling and Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and the engineering design process
  • Experience with prototyping and new product development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Figma and SolidWorks
  • Experience in Interaction Design, User Experience (UX), and User Interface (UI) design
  • Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering principles
  • Strong project management and workflow management skills
