Industrial Design Engineer

About the Company

Gotion Inc. is a leading power battery technology company focused on next-generation electric vehicle and energy storage technologies. They are currently building a manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL, to accelerate electrified transportation and sustainable development.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead projects while managing budget and time constraints
• Drive a user-centered design approach including analysis, prototyping, and evaluative testing
• Translate customer needs and research findings into compelling, usable designs
• Use sketching, modeling, and prototyping to articulate and validate design solutions
• Conduct market research to stay aware of current trends in fashion, art, and digital products

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master Degree in product or industrial design
• 1-4 years of relevant experience in industrial design for domestic appliances or consumer electronics
• Technical experience in the realization phase of product development
• Proficiency in hand/digital sketching and CAD modeling with Rhino or SolidWorks
• Strong CMF and graphic creation/visualization skills
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills for user insights and competitor studies
• Professional, ambitious, and collaborative mindset
• English fluency in speaking and writing; Chinese language skills are a plus
