About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage onsite hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs, including drum movements, bulking, and crushing
- Segregate, label, mark, and package waste materials in compliance with safety regulations
- Collect, transfer, and consolidate solid, liquid, and sludge materials
- Manage the movement of recyclable materials and conduct material grading for sale destinations
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes
- Maintain compliance with EPA, OSHA, and DOT environmental and transportation regulations
- Identify best practices to reduce waste volumes and increase operational efficiencies
- Recommend and manage initiatives to improve service delivery and KPI management
- Document all work performed and conduct regular material audits
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 6 years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance
- 3-5 years of experience managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste projects, industrial cleaning, and bulk waste handling
- 2 years of project management experience
- Required training: RCRA, TSCA, OSHA (HAZWOPER), and DOT
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in various physical environments including inclement weather
