Indirect Tax Senior Consultant

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on VAT treatment for new and complex transactions and resolve classification disputes with authorities.
• Collaborate with a worldwide network of professional advisors to provide cross-border transaction expertise.
• Prepare reports, schedules, and documentation for delivery to clients and management teams.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and internal service lines.
• Build a deep understanding of Customs Law, including valuation, classification, origin, and regional Free Trade Agreements.
• Identify VAT considerations for clients' outbound investments and assist with audit and transaction projects.

Requirements

• Degree in economics, finance, tax, or accounting.
• At least three years of relevant experience as an Indirect Tax professional.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proven project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Experience in law firms or relevant industry roles.
• Specific experience in customs duty advisory or VAT/GST advisory.
