Independent Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient therapeutic counseling services to individuals, families, and groups focusing on general mental health and substance use.
• Deliver behavioral health-related prevention and education services to the primarily Spanish-speaking community.
• Perform clinical assessments and provide appropriate therapeutic interventions within the scope of licensure.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, billing, and program audit support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams and external healthcare providers to facilitate patient care and follow-up.
• Participate in case staffing meetings and peer review sessions.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted AZBBHE licensure (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT).
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish (written and spoken).
• Valid Arizona driver's license.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Ability to pass substance abuse testing and provide updated immunization/TB records.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of specialized experience in mental health and/or substance abuse with diverse populations.
• Experience working specifically with underserved populations.
