Inbound Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement efficient inbound operations, including instructing employees, monitoring progress, and troubleshooting issues.
• Design and maintain the organization of inbound freight scheduling, unloading, receiving docks, and stocking activities.
• Ensure adherence to all security and safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment for all employees.
• Lead and mentor warehouse associates, fostering a culture of engagement, empowerment, and proactive problem-solving.
• Manage team schedules to ensure peak period coverage and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the reconciliation of received loads and the accurate processing of new freight and customer returns.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency.
• Protect company assets by ensuring proper equipment maintenance and facility security.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 1+ years of experience within a distribution center or similar environment.
• Forklift and pallet jack certification.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 60 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to comply with all safety requirements and physical demands of a warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a distribution center.
• 1+ years of proven experience in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
• Experience in automotive or retail distribution centers.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Power BI, or other data analysis tools.
