In-Store Sales Representative

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders and inquiries via walk-in and telephone sales
• Sell gases and welding products to customers while focusing on up-selling opportunities
• Manage showroom sales and assist customers with welding applications and product selection
• Process cash, charge, and credit card transactions and manage invoicing
• Maintain local inventory control, including branch stock, hard goods, and cylinders
• Handle shipping and receiving for customer orders and branch transfers
• Complete end-of-day, week, and month reporting tasks including SOX and workbench tasks

Requirements

• High-school diploma or equivalent experience in industrial supplies or customer service
• Proven work history focused on customer satisfaction
• Demonstrated ability to up-sell products effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
• Experience working in a safety-conscious team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the welding industry and related processes
