In house M&A Tax Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of accountability for tax aspects of M&A and internal restructuring transactions.
• Lead and review tax due diligence work, challenging external advisors and providing pragmatic recommendations to deal teams.
• Advise on tax-efficient deal structuring, financing, and legal structuring within a cross-border environment.
• Partner with multidisciplinary project teams (finance, legal, strategy, and operations) to embed tax considerations early in the deal lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal tax specialists in corporate tax, VAT, and transfer pricing to ensure consistency across workstreams.
• Manage external tax advisors and legal counsel, ensuring quality, adherence to timelines, and cost discipline.
• Support post-deal integration activities, including legal entity rationalization and operational tax setup.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in M&A or international tax.
• Professional background in a Big 4 firm, law firm, or an in-house corporate environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of international corporate tax and cross-border structuring.
• Expertise in transfer pricing and a solid awareness of indirect taxes.
• Proven ability to operate as a subject-matter expert within multidisciplinary project environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
• A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset capable of balancing technical rigor with business reality.
