In-House Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including leasing, hosting, and purchase contracts
• Manage customer contracts such as MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and vendor agreements
• Provide legal support to Business, Commercial, Sales, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams
• Identify and mitigate legal risks related to operations, people management, and technology delivery
• Support compliance initiatives regarding data privacy, information security, and regulatory matters
• Assist with corporate matters including entity management, governance, and policy development
• Manage outside counsel for specialized legal matters
• Build scalable legal processes, templates, and workflows

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 2–3 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house department
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work onsite in Redwood City, CA or Plano, TX

Preferred Qualifications

• Background supporting sales and customer-facing teams
• Exposure to privacy, data protection, or employment law
• Prior in-house experience at a startup, SaaS, or professional services company
• Self-starter mindset with ability to operate independently
