About the role
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including leasing, hosting, and purchase contracts
- Manage customer contracts such as MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and vendor agreements
- Provide legal support to Business, Commercial, Sales, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams
- Identify and mitigate legal risks related to operations, people management, and technology delivery
- Support compliance initiatives regarding data privacy, information security, and regulatory matters
- Assist with corporate matters including entity management, governance, and policy development
- Manage outside counsel for specialized legal matters
- Build scalable legal processes, templates, and workflows
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 2–3 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house department
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work onsite in Redwood City, CA or Plano, TX
Preferred Qualifications
- Background supporting sales and customer-facing teams
- Exposure to privacy, data protection, or employment law
- Prior in-house experience at a startup, SaaS, or professional services company
- Self-starter mindset with ability to operate independently
