In-House General Counsel & Advertising Attorney

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary in-house legal advisor to executive leadership on legal risk and strategic initiatives
• Draft, review, and negotiate internal contracts including vendor, marketing, and technology agreements
• Develop and maintain internal legal policies and compliance programs
• Review and approve all advertising and marketing materials across digital, social, broadcast, and print platforms
• Ensure compliance with state bar advertising rules, FTC regulations, and consumer protection laws
• Advise marketing teams on permissible claims, disclosures, and influencer partnerships
• Monitor changes in advertising regulations and ethics rules
• Partner with technology teams to evaluate legal risks related to AI-driven marketing and consumer data usage

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active US Attorney Bar license
• 5+ years of experience in advertising law and contracts
• Strong understanding of HR compliance and contract law
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• In-house or law firm experience
• Familiarity with law firm operations and billing
