In-Home Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Observe and maintain a safe and clean home environment for the client
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services
• Assist clients with personal care needs such as bathing, oral care, hair care, nail care, medication reminders, incontinence care, dressing, and ambulation
• Provide companionship including conversation, emotional support, and mind-stimulating activities
• Document services provided including dates and times, and report any changes to supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• 6 months experience in adult day, healthcare, or home care environment serving seniors
• Valid Colorado driver’s license in good standing
• Current vehicle registration and proof of insurance
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to handle objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
