About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement process and technology improvement opportunities to drive continuous improvement and technical integrity.
- Lead continuous improvement activities, including gap closure and project scope definition.
- Partner with Center of Excellence, Operations, and EH&S experts to develop project plans that support business objectives.
- Analyze production loss accounting data to prioritize process improvement opportunities.
- Champion process safety activities during project design to ensure a robust and safe manufacturing process.
- Ensure technical integrity and optimum operability of supported units by integrating input from maintenance, reliability, and operations.
- Serve as the lead person for all new plant product trials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience as an engineer within a chemical plant environment.
- Proven track record of leveraging technology and process optimization.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and tools.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
