Import Export Specialist

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute international import and export shipments across air, sea, and road modes (LCL, FCL, ISO).
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and Customs House Agents (CHA) to ensure timely cargo release and delivery.
• Manage all import/export documentation, including Bills of Lading, Airway Bills, Customs invoices, and Letters of Credit.
• Ensure strict compliance with customs regulations, DGFT guidelines, and correct HS code classification.
• Manage end-to-end RoDTEP and Advance Authorizations processes, including tracking and reconciliation.
• Monitor and optimize logistics costs, specifically focusing on minimizing demurrage and detention charges.
• Collaborate with internal procurement, finance, and planning teams to ensure seamless inbound and outbound logistics.
• Implement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen/Lean) to reduce lead times and operational bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics import-export operations.
• Strong working knowledge of international import/export procedures and Incoterms.
• Demonstrated proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
