Import/Export Specialist III

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex inbound and outbound shipment logistics, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory requirements and customer commitments.
• Process documents through established systems and interface with internal and external customers to provide timely updates.
• Assist in the development of new accounts by reviewing documentation, maintaining client profiles, and managing communications.
• Obtain government agency releases and manage Customs/OGA releases, cargo delivery, and invoicing.
• Identify and complete transaction tasks requiring special handling or expediting to ensure compliant processing.
• Review all entries, invoices, and client packages prior to distribution and investigate any irregularities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
• 4-6 years of related experience in import/export or logistics.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based software applications.
• Accurate data entry and typing skills.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving U.S. currency, weights, volume, and distance.
• Strong ability to gather and analyze documents and follow complex laws, rules, and regulations.
