Import/Export Materials Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing operations for raw materials and component parts
• Manage campus inventory control, including receiving, shipping, and cycle counting
• Coordinate international transportation with vendors, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
• Ensure vendor compliance with shipping and import documentation requirements
• Manage Temporary Import Bond (TIB) requirements, including tracking and extensions
• Collaborate with the Import/Export Compliance Manager on tariff classifications
• Lead and supervise a team of supervisors and administrative personnel
• Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to support production scheduling
• Perform supplier selection and sourcing for purchased services

Requirements

• High School diploma with 10+ years of manufacturing experience OR a BS/BA degree with 0-3 years of experience
• Proven materials management experience within a manufacturing environment
• Direct experience in import/export logistics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically with strong Excel skills
• Must be a US Citizen (Dual citizenship cannot be accepted)
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Incoterms, US Harmonized Tariff System (HTS), and Schedule B export codes
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements
• Experience implementing or using an MRP system (Glovia experience is a plus)
