Implementations Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform customer coordination, Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A), and reporting for new network equipment and service activations
• Configure and maintain DISA’s out-of-band management network using Cisco and Juniper devices
• Upgrade software on Cisco and Juniper devices
• Create and update project planning documentation including IP addressing schemes and port assignments
• Perform systems analysis to determine hardware, software, or system functional requirements
• Engage with DISA project managers and stakeholders to resolve requirement issues and facilitate approvals

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active, in-scope US Government Secret clearance
• Current DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Proficient knowledge of network hardware specifications, configuration, and testing
• Experience with network services including BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, and VRF
• Experience with network appliances such as routers, load balancers, DNS, and firewalls
• Knowledge of networking architecture and transmission systems
• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of specialized experience, OR Associate's degree with 7 years, OR major certification with 7 years, OR 11 years of specialized experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience at DISA or knowledge of DISA systems and processes
• Experience with SharePoint data entry, DDOE, or SharePoint order processing
• Experience inputting service requests into DISA Storefront (DSF)
