About the role
Responsibilities
- Configure the Scheduling module to match agency staffing policies, including shift patterns, minimum staffing, overtime hierarchies, and certification requirements.
- Lead requirements-gathering sessions to capture current staffing practices and contractual rules to create documented configuration plans.
- Validate configurations against real-world agency scenarios, including holiday and exception conditions, prior to go-live.
- Support payroll export and timekeeping integration requirements.
- Partner with Implementation Managers to deliver milestones on schedule and surface project risks early.
- Maintain accurate project status and configuration documentation in Rocketlane.
- Serve as the Scheduling subject matter expert and surface product gaps or enhancement requests to the Product organization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of customer-facing SaaS implementation, configuration, or professional services experience.
- Strong public safety industry knowledge, specifically regarding fire and EMS shift structures and staffing models.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex scheduling rules (e.g., Kelly cycles, minimum staffing, and callback hierarchies).
- Proven ability to translate complex policy or contractual requirements into software configurations.
- Experience with Rocketlane or a comparable professional services delivery platform.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel).
- Excellent communication, training delivery, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience as a fire or EMS scheduling/staffing officer or comparable agency role.
- Hands-on experience with public safety scheduling platforms.
- Familiarity with payroll/timekeeping systems and scheduling-to-payroll data flows.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.
- PMP, ITIL, or equivalent professional certification.
