About the role
Responsibilities
- Configure inspection programs, including occupancy records, inspection types, routes, and code-based checklists aligned with NFPA 1, IFC, or local amendments.
- Manage the configuration of permitting workflows, including operational and burn permits, application reviews, and renewals.
- Set up invoicing and fee collection processes for permits, inspections, and other billable prevention activities.
- Configure inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) workflows for fire protection systems and deficiency tracking.
- Implement fire investigation workflows, including cause and origin documentation.
- Configure code enforcement, violation tracking, and plan review routing.
- Partner with Implementation Managers to deliver milestones on schedule and surface project risks early.
- Serve as the Fire Prevention subject matter expert and provide feedback to the Product organization regarding gaps or enhancement requests.
Requirements
- 3+ years of customer-facing SaaS implementation, configuration, or professional services experience.
- Strong public safety industry knowledge, specifically regarding fire prevention, code enforcement, and inspection practices.
- Working knowledge of fire prevention workflows (inspections, permitting, invoicing, investigations, and ITM) within adopted code frameworks.
- Proven ability to translate regulatory or program requirements into software configurations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent communication, training delivery, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience as a fire inspector, fire marshal, plans examiner, or fire investigator.
- Fire prevention certifications such as ICC Fire Inspector I/II, NFPA Certified Fire Inspector, or Fire Investigator (NFPA 1033).
- Hands-on experience with professional services delivery platforms like Rocketlane.
- Familiarity with GIS and parcel data as applied to occupancy management.
- Knowledge of Salesforce and project handoff processes.
- PMP, ITIL, or equivalent professional certification.
