Implant Maintenance Tech

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ion implant semiconductor manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues, including Axcelis and Varian (Vista) implanters, to minimize downtime
• Monitor, analyze, and interpret tool performance data and alarms
• Improve system performance to meet process specifications and increase tool uptime and reliability
• Partner with engineers to support equipment qualifications, process changes, and improvement projects
• Provide clear, concise written documentation and communicate equipment status during daily pass down meetings

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree or military training preferred)
• 3+ years of experience maintaining semiconductor manufacturing equipment
• Proven troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment following strict safety protocols
• Willingness to work compressed workweeks, night shifts, or provide on-call support as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Axcelis ion implant systems (e.g., Purion platform)
• Experience with Varian (Vista) implanters or similar legacy implant platforms
• Expertise in advanced fault isolation and root cause analysis
• Familiarity with SPC, fault detection systems (FDC), and equipment automation systems
• Experience supporting tool installations, upgrades, and qualifications
