About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor real-time tool performance and resolve mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic issues
- Respond to alarms and execute recovery plans in collaboration with technicians
- Analyze data using specialized software to identify root causes and drive decision-making
- Lead new tool qualification and coordinate equipment maintenance and downtime
- Execute Change-Point Management (CPM) and maintain standardized SOPs
- Document and track performance metrics including yield, throughput, and particle counts
- Lead projects focused on cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical, Chemical, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years of semiconductor experience, specifically with Thermal Anneal (RTP) or Surface Treatment/Dry Etch processes
- Experience troubleshooting equipment or process failures
- Proficiency in structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 7-step)
- Strong understanding of statistical methods
- Ability to work in a FAB environment, wear cleanroom suits/PPE, and lift up to 35 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with tools such as AMAT Centura, Mattson Millios, LAM Argos, Semes HPA, or Veeco LSA
- Experience with tool installation and setup
