About the role

Responsibilities

  • Monitor real-time tool performance and resolve mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic issues
  • Respond to alarms and execute recovery plans in collaboration with technicians
  • Analyze data using specialized software to identify root causes and drive decision-making
  • Lead new tool qualification and coordinate equipment maintenance and downtime
  • Execute Change-Point Management (CPM) and maintain standardized SOPs
  • Document and track performance metrics including yield, throughput, and particle counts
  • Lead projects focused on cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical, Chemical, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 2+ years of semiconductor experience, specifically with Thermal Anneal (RTP) or Surface Treatment/Dry Etch processes
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment or process failures
  • Proficiency in structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 7-step)
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods
  • Ability to work in a FAB environment, wear cleanroom suits/PPE, and lift up to 35 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with tools such as AMAT Centura, Mattson Millios, LAM Argos, Semes HPA, or Veeco LSA
  • Experience with tool installation and setup
