About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide routine and acute trauma patient reception in the Imaging Department
- Perform clerical duties at desks and counters
- Use IS systems to order and adjust patient orders in the Meditech HIS/RIS
- Schedule patients via CWS and provide verbal and written preparation instructions
- Ensure all scheduling and computer input is correct for Imaging Services, including medical necessity screenings and preauthorization
- Assist the Imaging Director, Radiologist, and Radiology PA as directed
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum keyboarding speed of 50 WPM
- Knowledge of 10 key
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to comprehend, retain, and apply information
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in office procedures
