Imagery Scientist (EO) - Senior

Responsibilities

• Assist the EO lead in conducting assessment of potential differences between new sensor characteristics and capabilities compared to currently utilized platforms
• Assess potential differences in metadata, data format, and data structure characteristics for data ingestion and movement
• Determine data acquisition methods, potential latency, data formats, and security domains
• Pre-process and standardize data to match existing standards or transform it for labeling and model testing
• Drive solutions informed by sensor phenomenology limitations and advantages

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain CI/Poly
• 4+ years of expert EO imagery exploitation and imagery science experience
• Expertise in EO collection systems and remote sensing phenomenology
• Experience with image formation processes and exploitation methodologies
• Experience detecting, identifying, and locating objects of interest in EO imagery
• Experience developing and evaluating algorithms, scientific workflows, and automated workflows
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying Computer Vision (CV) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to EO imagery and data
