Imagery Scientist (EO)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction across the full imagery acquisition and preparation lifecycle
• Integrate emerging sensors and platforms into existing data pipelines and workflows
• Conduct assessments of new sensor characteristics compared to current platforms
• Determine data acquisition methods, including latency, formats, and security domains
• Pre-process and standardize data for labeling and model development
• Develop mathematical conversion models for data labels and orthorectification
• Execute day-to-day management of imagery curation and acquisition activities

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain CI/Poly
• 4+ years of experience as an EO expert
• Understanding of collection, phenomenology, and image formation processes
• Experience exploiting the electromagnetic spectrum to locate objects of interest
• Experience developing automated scientific workflows using Python, MATLAB, or Google Earth Engine
• Deep understanding of remote sensing principles and advanced imagery processing
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying Computer Vision (CV) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to EO imagery
