IM/IT Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide technical customer support, hardware maintenance, and network administration for information management and IT systems.
• Manage, maintain, and install workstations, printers, communication devices, and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational and software problems associated with network and stand-alone printers.
• Complete service requests via the Trouble Ticket Tracking System, ensuring thorough documentation of all work performed.
• Manage user accounts within the Medical Joint Active Directory (MJAD) and inform customers of Information Assurance requirements.
• Monitor server room environments, including UPS, air conditioning, and door alarms.
• Assist with asset management, inventory tracking, and life-cycle program management support.
• Perform LAN/WAN administrator tasks, including installing cabling, patching servers, and monitoring network performance.
• Conduct cybersecurity scanning and mitigate vulnerabilities on desktops and servers.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of helpdesk or systems administration experience.
• At least one year of specialized experience in Military Treatment Facility (MTF) IT Help Desk operations.
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification (must meet DoD 8570.01-M requirements).
• Ability to pass a background check.
