ILS Obsolescence Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain obsolescence risk levels for COTS equipment
• Develop Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plans to meet program needs
• Produce Logistics Support Analyses, including sparing, initial provisioning, and end-of-life extension analysis
• Perform component and system-level reliability calculations
• Manage COTS component obsolescence, including Last Time Buy (LTB) and End of Life (EOL) information
• Liaise with OEMs to develop corrective actions for obsolescence issues
• Evaluate Fit, Form & Function (FFF) substitutes or design changes for obsolete parts
• Perform Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) for replacement components
• Generate ILS deliverables such as FMECA, LSAR, LORA, RBD, and Spares Analysis

Requirements

• University degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in naval or aerospace ILS and Obsolescence fields
• Experience in performing Obsolescence Management activities (IEC 62402)
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Bilingual in French and English with proficient English writing skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Omega PS/GenS (or similar LSAR database)
• Experience with Omega PS Analyzer (or similar LORA, LCC, and spares modelling)
• Experience with various Reliability/Maintenance Engineering Analyses (RAM, FMECA, MTA, RCM, MIL-STD-217, RBD)
