IH Technician, Senior

Responsibilities

• Participate in monitoring health standards in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Evaluate and interpret regulatory requirements to assist in site compliance efforts
• Ensure required controls to mitigate identified chemical, biological, and physical hazards are implemented and maintained
• Provide industrial hygiene, environmental, and hazardous material support to site personnel
• Assist in processing complex industrial hygiene analyses using various methodologies and laboratory instruments
• Maintain data within approved capture and tracking systems
• Prepare reports, charts, and spreadsheets for IH activities
• Actively participate in Safety Work Groups and maintain knowledge of all safety policies

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED with 2-5 years of related experience
• US citizenship required
• Active DOE security clearance or the ability to obtain one
• Radiological training or the ability to obtain it
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to wear respirators and required personal protective equipment
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and working in confined spaces or extreme weather
