IH Technician, Junior

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, administrative, and functional support to the Industrial Hygiene team
• Collect and analyze data within a limited scope and compare readings to predetermined limits
• Assist in processing basic industrial hygiene analyses and performing routine calculations
• Assist in the preparation of reports, charts, and spreadsheets
• Maintain knowledge of and demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with approved safety policies
• Participate in Safety Work Groups and perform duties of general or routine complexity

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED with one year of related experience
• US citizenship required
• Active DOE security clearance or the ability to obtain one
• Radiological training or the ability to obtain it
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to wear respirators and required personal protective equipment
• Ability to perform physical tasks including walking extensively and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
