IFRS9 & ECL Reporting Officer

Responsibilities

• Generate IFRS9 ECL provision results on a quarterly basis using Moody's RCO for both Group and Unit levels.
• Engage with subsidiaries and business units to collect and validate accurate data through periodic checks.
• Generate analytical reports related to ECL from the Strategic System.
• Define and validate the integration of the RCO with other risk management systems.
• Prepare and maintain internal standards, policies, and rules regarding IFRS9.
• Support strategic risk management initiatives including Risk MI Dashboards, Stress Testing, and ICAAP.
• Maintain and monitor ECL strategic system configurations and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system changes.
• Report P&L Charge to GCC, including reconciliations between Group Finance and Group Risk.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a similar function within a large regional or global financial institution.
• Graduate degree with a background in Banking & Finance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS9 regulations and Basel guidelines.
• Hands-on proficiency in SQL and related database technologies such as SAS, R, or Python.
• Expert-level Excel skills, including data cleaning and advanced functions like VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and INDEX-MATCH.
• Good knowledge of credit risk measurement techniques and risk ratings.
• Strong data handling and organizational skills.
