I&E Technician

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain instrumentation and electrical equipment safely and efficiently in compliance with all procedures and regulations
• Troubleshoot, assess, and refurbish pneumatic and electronic instrumentation, electrical systems, and analytical equipment
• Calibrate, test, and perform functional checks on instrumentation, analyzers, control systems, and control elements
• Provide technical expertise in collaboration with engineering and reliability teams
• Create and maintain accurate service reports using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Optimize work execution during both planned and unplanned equipment outages
• Identify, assess, and resolve priority-based instrumentation and electrical issues
• Communicate directly with OEM vendors and suppliers

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation in a continuous chemical or industrial environment
• Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation, electrical systems, and Allen Bradley ControlLogix
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including P&IDs and schematics
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites as needed
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, work in confined spaces, and wear required PPE

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or completion of an apprenticeship program
• Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts or manlifts
