Identity Tooling and Entra SME Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for the design, build, configuration, and optimization of identity tooling solutions, specifically Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory.
• Lead the technical implementation and deployment of new Entra ID capabilities and identity enhancements.
• Provide expert engineering support for day-to-day BAU operations, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance tuning for MFA and SSO.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, configuration baselines, automation scripts, and operational procedures.
• Lead vulnerability remediation, patching, and security hardening activities for identity platforms.
• Support incident response and problem management, including performing root cause analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on identity technologies.
• Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement through automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) tooling.
• CISSP or CISM certification (or equivalent).
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, MFA, and SSO.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Graph API.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Entra ID Connect, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, PIM, and Entitlement Management.
• Proven track record implementing complex Entra ID solutions in large-scale, hybrid, or multi-cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle management, access certification, and hybrid identity.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards such as GDPR, NIS, and ISO 27001.
