Identity & Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise PKI platforms to deliver reliable internal certificate services.
• Manage the full certificate lifecycle, including issuance, renewal, revocation, and expiry tracking.
• Operate and maintain Certificate Authorities (CA) and associated registration workflows.
• Execute procedures for cryptographic key generation, storage, rotation, and recovery.
• Investigate and resolve certificate-related incidents such as trust chain failures and TLS/SSL errors.
• Monitor platform health and implement proactive maintenance to reduce operational risk.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to design secure certificate-based solutions.
• Identify opportunities for automation and standardization across PKI processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience supporting PKI or certificate management services in an enterprise environment.
• Deep understanding of digital certificates, certificate authorities, and certificate chains.
• Strong knowledge of TLS/SSL, encryption, authentication, and certificate trust concepts.
• Familiarity with revocation services, including CRL and OCSP processes.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues across servers and enterprise applications.
• Solid understanding of Windows Server and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience working within incident, problem, and change management frameworks.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS).
• Familiarity with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
• Proficiency with PowerShell or other scripting tools for PKI automation.
• Exposure to Microsoft Entra ID or hybrid identity environments.
• Experience working within regulated or highly audited environments.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
