I/DD Residential Staff

Responsibilities

• Provide essential support and care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)
• Assist residents with personal care, meal preparation, and daily living activities
• Transport clients to various locations as needed
• Implement program activities and monitor client environments to ensure safety
• Observe and communicate client behaviors and reactions to treatment interventions
• Assist in handling maladaptive behavioral outbursts in a constructive manner
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, activities, and paperwork according to company policy
• Perform minor clerical work and light physical plant maintenance tasks

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a human service field preferred)
• Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
• Ability to pass law enforcement background checks and TB screening
• Ability to assist with client care and transport clients
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act judiciously in crisis situations
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with challenging individuals in a residential or human services setting
