ICS Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform field verification of cyber assets to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.
• Develop, document, and maintain the cybersecurity asset register and other key project deliverables.
• Lead and facilitate cybersecurity risk assessment exercises and implement recommended mitigations for design and vendor packages.
• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning teams by validating firewall rules, secure remote access, endpoint hardening, and access control.
• Oversee the development and execution of architecture standards and FAT/SAT/CSAT procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors and engineering teams to resolve punch points identified during field verification.
• Support OT cybersecurity handovers to operations, including incident response alignment and asset inventory management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, or Process Automation preferred).
• 10-15 years of experience in Operational Technology (OT) or a related field.
• At least 3 years of focused experience in designing, building, or validating cybersecurity for industrial control systems and networks.
• Proven experience with Saudi cyber standards including HCIS, NCA, and CRA, as well as ISA 62443 industry standards.
• Strong technical knowledge of control systems (SCADA, DCS, PLCs) and protocols such as Modbus, PROFINET, DNP3, and IEC61850.
• Proficiency with cybersecurity technologies including Firewalls, IDS, Anti-Virus, and vulnerability assessments.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

• OT/ICS cybersecurity accreditations such as ISA/IEC62443 or SANS certifications.
• Additional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, SharePoint, and Visio.
