IC&E Technician III

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and calibrate electrical equipment, instrumentation, and plant Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Monitor and repair gas turbine and steam turbine control systems, generators, transformers, and switchgear.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and resolve escalated technical issues with limited supervision.
• Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to execute required maintenance and optimize preventative programs.
• Assist with the design and review of engineered instruments, controls, and electrical installations, including P&ID development.
• Lead project startup controls verification and develop comprehensive commissioning plans.
• Provide on-the-job technical training to other team members.
• Maintain professional logs, manuals, blueprints, and operating procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or a degree from a technical/vocational school.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrument, electrical, and control system applications.
• Proven experience with DCS programming and configuration.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with an advanced understanding of electricity, mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
• Ability to understand and modify P&IDs, electrical schematics, and one-line drawings.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes.
• Valid state driver’s license.
