About the Company

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream started in a yellow truck on the streets of NYC in 2008 with a mission to make good ice cream that makes you feel good. We strive to ensure every scoop, store and employee feels and creates one community to contribute to the overall brand.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality
• Scoop and serve all menu items while maintaining quality and presentation standards
• Educate guests on flavors, ingredients, and special offerings
• Prepare fresh, house-made menu items daily
• Operate Square POS System for seamless guest checkout
• Follow food safety procedures and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain store cleanliness and complete daily tasks including stocking and inventory
• Follow established safety, grooming, uniform, and employee conduct standards

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Food handlers certificate required
• Ability to push, pull, or lift 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk stairs for extended periods
• Availability to work at least three shifts per week, including nights and weekends past 12am
• Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
