IC&E Technician II

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical equipment, instrumentation, and plant Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
• Monitor and repair gas turbine and steam turbine control systems, generators, transformers, and switchgear
• Calibrate and repair plant electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
• Perform routine troubleshooting and use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to execute maintenance
• Optimize plant preventative maintenance programs to meet OEM recommendations and regulatory requirements
• Maintain professional logs, manuals, records, blueprints, and operating procedures
• Provide written reports on control system conditions and comply with all safety and health policies

Requirements

• High School Diploma, technical/vocational degree, or equivalent
• 2-5 years of experience in instrument, electrical, and control system applications
• Experience with DCS programming and configuration
• Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics
• Valid state driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Mark VI Control Systems
• Experience with Emerson Ovation Control Systems
• Advanced technical certifications or licensures
