IC Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Industrial Coatings Development team to deliver innovative products
• Oversee the development of coatings products tailored to ACE or new markets
• Represent the Industrial Coatings department in internal meetings and external technical forums
• Manage multiple projects, budgets, and CAPEX investments with a focus on safety and sustainability
• Manage the development team laboratory to ensure an efficient and safe working environment
• Support the professional development of Chemists through mentoring and coaching
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Procurement, Operations, and Quality teams
• Monitor industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitor activity

Requirements

• Degree level or equivalent in a science-based subject
• Extensive experience in research and development within the coatings industry
• Proven experience in performance management of a technical team
• Experience managing multiple projects and technical staff
• Knowledge of global regulatory and environmental compliance standards such as REACH
• Experience with budget management and cost control
• Ability to manage HSE requirements within a laboratory and manufacturing environment
