I&C Cabling Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all aspects of Instrumentation & Control cabling and electrical design for the Hinkley Point C project
• Review and consolidate cabling and electrical design inputs from I&C engineers, suppliers, and system engineers
• Perform consistency checks on electrical and cabling data to identify and manage design changes
• Produce and maintain Input-Output (I/O) Lists and interface documentation
• Design and validate cable routing, sizing, and loop connections in compliance with nuclear and electrical safety standards
• Track supplier feedback and manage interface issues and design updates
• Liaise with installation teams to support accurate implementation on site

Requirements

• Experience in I&C cabling and electrical design in industrial or nuclear environments
• Knowledge of loop diagrams, I/O lists, and control systems integration
• Experience with cable routing, sizing, and installation design
• Ability to consolidate and review supplier studies and resolve design issues
• Familiarity with nuclear safety standards and regulated environments
• Experience coordinating across multi-disciplinary engineering and supplier teams
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on Nuclear Projects
• Experience with turnkey contracts and supplier coordination
• Knowledge of CAD or cable management software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Experience with installation planning and electrical interface verification
