About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy APIs using IBM API Connect
- Configure and manage IBM DataPower Gateway services
- Implement API security policies, authentication, and authorization mechanisms
- Develop RESTful and SOAP web services
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance
- Work closely with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions
- Participate in system testing, deployment, and production support activities
- Ensure compliance with enterprise integration and security standards
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM API Connect
- Strong experience with IBM DataPower Gateway
- Experience with REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, XML, JSON, and XSLT
- Knowledge of API security protocols such as OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, and API Key authentication
- Experience with API lifecycle management
- Understanding of integration architecture and middleware concepts
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Enterprise Integration projects
- IBM certifications related to API Connect or DataPower
- Experience working in Agile environments
