IAM Architect, Enterprise Security - Identity Access Management

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of new features and capabilities for Scotiabank’s next-generation CIAM platform (ForgeRock / Ping / PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud).
• Provide subject matter expertise on security controls including MFA, Device Binding, and Session Control.
• Design solutions and patterns for migrating business applications to modern CIAM capabilities across on-prem and SaaS platforms.
• Translate business requirements from the IAM Product team into technical architectural designs for the Engineering team.
• Create design artifacts outlining solutions, components, key decisions, and cost/time estimates for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security architecture, fraud, compliance, and business channels to ensure enterprise-grade solutions.
• Represent the CIAM Architecture team on governance boards and ensure alignment with industry standards like FIDO, OIDC, and OAuth.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) space.
• 3+ years of experience in an Architect role.
• 5+ years of experience specifically within the CIAM space.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with ForgeRock, PingAM, or PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, JSON, and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or NodeJS.
• Experience with Java and security monitoring/SIEM integrations.
• Strong understanding of MFA technologies and authentication/credential management flows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the Banking sector.
• Security certifications such as CISSP or CCSP.
• Vendor-specific IAM certifications.
• Experience presenting technical designs and strategy to senior leadership.
