About the role

Responsibilities

  • Travel to Israel with college students while leading immersive experiences
  • Build meaningful connections with students and seek out students who are not yet involved in Jewish life
  • Serve as a thought partner and entrepreneurial leader for the campus Hillel’s student life staff and engagement strategy
  • Recruit, coordinate, and curate a meaningful Birthright Israel experience for students
  • Staff Shabbat dinners and help celebrate holidays with the campus community
  • Manage campus Hillel’s Birthright Israel program, including recruitment, interviews, and pre-trip orientations
  • Create ways to elevate student passions and craft experiences that reflect the interests of the student body
  • Manage post-trip engagement and develop Jewish experiences for Birthright Israel alumni
  • Support recruitment for other immersive experiences in Israel
  • Develop and nurture relationships with University personnel and partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 0-5 years of experience
  • Passion for Judaism, Israel, and the Jewish People
  • Prior travel experience in Israel, preferably on a Birthright Israel trip
  • Strong interpersonal communication and leadership development skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
