About the role
Responsibilities
- Recruit 200+ students annually for Birthright Israel, Onward Israel, and other immersive travel experiences
- Act as primary staff for Birthright Israel trips, including recruiting and training trip staff
- Engage participants in continued campus activities related to Israel education, advocacy, and community service
- Manage the organization's Instagram account and social media presence
- Oversee the Blue Hens for Israel student leadership team and a group of interns
- Develop and implement a strategic blueprint for Israel engagement on campus
- Cultivate one-on-one relationships with Jewish students through creative outreach
- Maintain records of events, attendance, and engagement data
- Participate in weekly Hillel staff programs, Shabbat, and holiday activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 0-3 years of professional work experience
- Prior travel experience in Israel and familiarity with Israel and Judaism
- Experience with Jewish education and outreach
- Sales or recruitment experience through professional work or campus organizations
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proven leadership and teamwork capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to manage complex projects with multiple moving parts and strict deadlines
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Enthusiasm for Israel programming and Jewish life
