Hypersonics Senior Technical Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide technical counsel to the Senior Official for Scaled Hypersonics regarding the development and demonstration of hypersonic flight systems.
• Monitor hypersonic research, development, test, and evaluation activities across the enterprise, including NASA, DoE, and industry.
• Identify and monitor hypersonic system development, demonstration, and acquisition programs.
• Provide regular technical updates and assessments to leadership on technology progress, investment needs, and opportunities.
• Support the development and assessment of new initiatives and enterprise-level technology roadmaps.
• Assist in the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) planning and annual Program Review processes.
• Collaborate with intelligence agencies to assess foreign hypersonic technology and system development activities.

Requirements

• Master of Science degree in a scientific or technological discipline relevant to hypersonics.
• At least 20 years of relevant professional experience.
• Active US Government Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
• Demonstrated experience with applied technology and complex systems.
• Proven experience with hypersonic vehicles, systems, and programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with senior-level government officials and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in a scientific or technological discipline relevant to hypersonics.
• Prior experience supporting military services, DARPA, or OUSW(R&E) on complex programs and demonstrations.
