Hydroprocessing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide active technical leadership in Hydroprocessing and Hydrocracking technologies.
• Enhance organizational capability through mentoring, technical reviews, and delivering training.
• Evaluate, develop, and deploy new technologies to deliver business value.
• Support operating sites with technical leadership regarding unit operation, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Serve as the process technology lead for capital projects from screening through unit startup.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and startup of greenfield or revamped facilities.
• Lead and provide guidance on process modelling development and enhancement.
• Collaborate with third parties to design, test, and deploy new technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or Refining industry.
• Prior experience in Hydroprocessing and Hydrocracking for fuels and base stocks.
• Proficiency in unit operation, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Proficiency in Process Modelling and Catalyst selection.
• Experience in project development from early screening through commissioning.
• Expertise in new technology evaluation and deployment.
• Ability to travel internationally approximately 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with turnaround support, including reactor inspection and startup.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to resolve complex operational problems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multi-cultural global teams.
