About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage hydrology & hydraulics projects from planning through completion for public and private clients
  • Mentor and supervise a team of junior and mid-level water resources staff
  • Perform and oversee complex hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D)
  • Review and approve technical reports, models, designs, and calculations
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
  • Maintain client relationships and support business development through proposals and networking
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with regulatory agencies for permitting
  • Uphold company safety culture in all project activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related ABET-accredited field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, or water resources engineering
  • Direct expertise with HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS (1D/2D) modeling software
  • Experience in project management and team leadership
  • Strong communication skills for report preparation and client presentations
  • Willingness to travel to project sites or client meetings as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consulting experience
  • Familiarity with GIS, StormCAD, SWMM, or other hydrologic/hydraulic models
  • Knowledge of FEMA floodplain considerations and environmental permitting
  • Existing network of client contacts
