HWRC Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure a safe working environment
• Ensure site compliance with EA regulations
• Conduct regular site walk rounds and instruct staff on issues requiring attention
• Support weighbridge and waste acceptance processes
• Support site-based staff with operational issues and break coverage
• Report defects for mobile plant and site infrastructure in a timely manner
• Manage and check core logs including fire, environmental, ladder, and Legionella checks
• Conduct monthly SHEQ tours and concern reporting
• Deliver SOP and risk assessment inductions, toolbox talks, and communications
• Maintain waste levels and participate in daily stock update calls
• Ensure adequate weekly staff coverage and coordinate training courses
• Keep the site manager informed of all operational issues

Requirements

• Experience in site operations or team leadership
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Ability to manage staff and coordinate training
• Strong communication and reporting skills
