HW Validation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive pre-silicon and post-silicon validation for SerDes and high-speed interfaces within automotive-grade products
• Develop and implement detailed validation test plans and methodologies to achieve full coverage
• Create test cases, environments, and automation scripts using Python
• Utilize hardware and software tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and traffic generators
• Collaborate with design, DV, analog, and firmware teams to debug and root-cause issues
• Document test plans, results, and validation coverage reports for stakeholders
• Develop scripts and web-based tools to automate validation, FW QA tests, and diagnostic data collection

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in silicon validation, specifically with high-speed networking SerDes and mixed-signal/analog/digital ICs
• Deep knowledge of PCS and PMA networking layers
• Hands-on experience with the debug and characterization of high-speed interfaces such as CSI-2 and Ethernet
• Expertise in script-based test automation using Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in GUI development for hardware and firmware debugging
