HVDC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Mazak and DMG Mori multi-axis turn-mill centers and CNC lathes
• Operate robot-integrated turn-mill systems and horizontal machining centers (HMCs) with pallet pool systems
• Perform tooling setup, offsets, fixture alignment, and tool changes
• Edit and modify G-code, Mazatrol, or CELOS programs to optimize quality and cycle time
• Conduct in-process inspections using precision tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure tight tolerances
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and troubleshoot machining or tooling issues
• Become overhead crane certified or obtain certification upon hire

Requirements

• Vocational certificate in Machining or equivalent hands-on experience
• Proven CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with multi-axis turn-mill machining and turning centers
• Experience with Mazak (Mazatrol) and/or DMG Mori (CELOS/Mitsubishi) controls
• Strong understanding of G-code programming and machining fundamentals
• Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T principles
• Experience holding tight tolerances on precision components
• Willingness to travel for up to one week for training if required
