HVAC Truck Based Service Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and service technically complex building control systems and low voltage sub-systems.
• Develop, test, and commission software programs to ensure proper operation of HVAC building control systems.
• Create technical documentation including flow diagrams, sequences of operations, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
• Coordinate the selection, ordering, and tracking of materials for assigned projects.
• Validate complete system functionality and troubleshoot issues alongside subcontractors and other trades.
• Provide site-specific training to owners and operators on total building control systems.
• Perform value engineering to deliver cost-effective solutions while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of the HVAC industry.
• Proven understanding of control theory, automatic temperature controls, and building automation systems.
• Experience integrating low voltage building sub-systems using industry protocols such as LON and BACnet.
• Advanced computer skills, specifically with computer-related drafting tools.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of seven years of relevant industry experience.
