About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and service technically complex building control systems and low voltage sub-systems.
- Develop, test, and commission software programs to ensure proper operation of HVAC building control systems.
- Create technical documentation including flow diagrams, sequences of operations, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
- Coordinate the selection, ordering, and tracking of materials for assigned projects.
- Validate complete system functionality and troubleshoot issues alongside subcontractors and other trades.
- Provide site-specific training to owners and operators on total building control systems.
- Perform value engineering to deliver cost-effective solutions while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of the HVAC industry.
- Proven understanding of control theory, automatic temperature controls, and building automation systems.
- Experience integrating low voltage building sub-systems using industry protocols such as LON and BACnet.
- Advanced computer skills, specifically with computer-related drafting tools.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of seven years of relevant industry experience.
