HVAC Truck Based Mechanic Apprentice (union)

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on work on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites
• Participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy (STA) to build technical skill sets
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and customer needs through coaching and mentorship
• Advise customers, contractors, and JCI on job progress and potential issues
• Provide recommendations and quotes to ensure facility efficiency and identify upselling opportunities
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and union training requirements

Requirements

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association (UA) union
• 1+ years of industry experience or experience servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management, and installation techniques
• Valid driver's license
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to represent the company professionally
• Ability to work as a self-starter with the goal of eventually working independently

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of trade school or college experience with a technical emphasis
